What is the Trade Program?
The Crate & Barrel, Crate & Kids and CB2 CBH Trade Program provides best-in-class service and solutions tailored to businesses and the professional design community. This includes:
- EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT: Get 20% off on purchases across our three brands—no minimum required. Access opportunities for a larger discount based on volume.
- INSIDER ACCESS: Get invited to design industry events, panels and more.
- CONCIERGE SERVICE: Our dedicated team works with you from start to finish, including installation.

Who is eligible for the Crate and Barrel Trade Program?
Accredited design professionals including interior decorators, architects, landscape members, members of professional staging organizations, and set decorators are all eligible for a business account regardless of whether they work on the residential or commercial side. Members enjoy an exclusive 20% Crate & Barrel Trade discount on all full-price merchandise.
How do I sign up for the Trade Program?
Sign up for the Trade Program by completing an online application and submitting supporting documents. You can find the application on our Trade Program page
To be eligible for our Trade Program, design professionals must present two forms of documentation:
- A business card indicating the applicant’s design profession OR a design firm website listing the applicant’s name. (Each design professional in a firm must apply separately for membership by submitting individual credentials.)
- Business License/Resale Certificate OR a valid membership card from one of the approved professional organizations.
How long does it take to get approved?
Non-tax exempt organizations are immediately issued their Trade Program number and are eligible to shop with the discount.
Tax-exempt organizations must be manually processed and approved.
Once the application and documents have been submitted, we will accept or deny and finalize the application within 48-72 hours.
- Once tax-exempt applications are approved, the member will receive an email with their 19-digit member number.
New members do not receive a physical card. Present or enter your digital member number when you shop.
How do I set up an account after submitting my application?
Trade Program accounts can be activated online. To activate an account online, members must add their member number to an existing account or create a Crate & Barrel Trade login if they do not already have one. Please note, separate online accounts must be created at each brand (crateandbarrel.com, cb2.com).
How do I activate my Trade discount to shop online?
Once logged into your account, the discount will be automatically applied to eligible items in your cart on the website as well as the app.
Members making purchases at two or more of our brands must make separate purchases as the brands do not share a universal shopping cart.
If a member is using a client’s credit card online, the billing address must match the shipping address.

What is contract grade furniture?
Select pieces throughout our furniture collections which are contract grade, meaning they meet BIFMA standards for safety and long-lasting durability. Products that are BIFMA Compliant® meet the following requirements:
- Each item undergoes rigorous testing to ensure durability.
- Tested for safe use in a commercial setting.
- Ability to withstand high usage over a long period of time.

How do I get an order from multiple Crate & Barrel Trade Program brands on to one purchase order (PO)?

How do I get my tax exemption?
To receive tax exempt status, you will need to include your tax exempt certificate along with your other credentials when applying for the Trade Program. If you are already registered for the Trade Program and would like to add tax exemption status to your account, please reach out to trade.concierge@crateandbarrel.com for help with this change.
Where can I find Trade Program member pricing?
Member pricing is not reflected on the website directly. You will see your Trade Program discount reflected in your cart on eligible items.

Can I apply to the Trade Program if I don’t have a member certification?
The Trade Program was created to be utilized by design professionals, not for personal use. Please submit any business documentation and a team member will be happy to review your application.

Swatches, rug samples and wood samples are available on all of our brand websites for any available items on produce pages.
How can I track my Trade Program order?

What is the Trade Program return policy?
The Trade Program return policy is the same for all customers. Returns for original payment method refund must be completed within 30 days. Parcel returns, in order to be refunded to the original form of payment, must be received within 90 days.

Can I make purchases on the Crate & Barrel or CB2 app with my Trade discount?
Yes. When you connect your member account to the app, you can make purchases with the discount applied.
