With the look of rattan, natural-hued PVC weaves a stately basket ideal for corralling throw blankets in the living room, laundry in the bedroom or firewood next to the fireplace. PVC pipes are hand selected from landfills and construction sites, heated and cut into flexible strips which are painstakingly woven by hand through a wire frame. Designed by Morongwe Mokone, each beautiful basket takes four to seven hours to create. The pale strands keep all of the attention on the beauty of the weave to emphasize the artisanal look. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, the durable, handwoven basket also serves as a cachepot for potted plants.
