Using an Adjustable Lamp

Adjustable lamps provide light where you need it most. Create a warm ambience in the living room with a floor lamp. When positioned next to a sofa or sectional, the floor lamp emits ample illumination while reading, working on a crossword or knitting. In larger spaces, consider using one or two with a wide arc or repositionable arm. For more subtle lighting in a reading nook or bedroom, switch these out for a table lamp placed on a side table or nightstand. Adjust them to their tallest height, leaving room for framed photos and other decor items below. Minimize eye strain while working in the study with an adjustable lamp on the desk. Place it right on your sturdy oak desk or on a wall shelf that makes it easy to dot the I’s and cross the T’s.
