ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) of dry red wine
  • 1½ cups apple cider
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup brandy
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 2 oranges, regular or blood orange, sliced into rounds
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 star anise pods, whole
  • ½ teaspoon whole cloves
  • Suggested Garnishes
  • â…“ cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
  • Cinnamon sticks

  1. Place all mulled wine ingredients into a large Le Creuset® Dutch oven and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer gently until fragrant, about 30 minutes.
  2. Strain and serve warm and garnish with pomegranate seeds, apple slices and a cinnamon stick.

notes

The longer the wine simmers, the stronger the spiced flavor will be.
