ingredients
- 1 bottle (750 ml) of dry red wine
- 1½ cups apple cider
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup brandy
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 2 oranges, regular or blood orange, sliced into rounds
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 3 star anise pods, whole
- ½ teaspoon whole cloves
- Suggested Garnishes
- â…“ cup pomegranate seeds
- 1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
- Cinnamon sticks
directions
- Place all mulled wine ingredients into a large Le Creuset® Dutch oven and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer gently until fragrant, about 30 minutes.
- Strain and serve warm and garnish with pomegranate seeds, apple slices and a cinnamon stick.

The longer the wine simmers, the stronger the spiced flavor will be.
