- 1 store-bought or homemade pizza dough
- All-purpose flour or fine semolina, for dusting
- 4–5 tablespoons store-bought or homemade tomato sauce
- 2 ounces fresh mozzarella, torn into bite-sized pieces
- 4–5 whole basil leaves

- Preheat an Ooni Koda Pizza Oven to 932°F. Use the Ooni Infrared Thermometer to accurately check the temperature inside the oven. Dust an Ooni pizza peel with all-purpose flour or fine semolina.
- Using your hands, stretch the pizza dough until it is a 12” or 16” circle. Lay the dough on the prepared pizza peel. Spread an even layer of tomato sauce over the dough, leaving an inch of crust. Evenly space the mozzarella pieces over the sauces.
- Use the pizza peel to slide the pizza into the oven. Bake, rotating the pizza regularly, for about 1 minute until the edges are browned and the cheese is melted. Garnish with basil leaves.
