- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 cup sugar
- 4–5 orange peels
- Martini Ingredients
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1 ounce freshly brewed espresso
- ½ ounce orange syrup
- Suggested Garnishes

directions
To Make Orange Syrup
- In a medium saucepan, combine orange juice and sugar. Using a paring knife or peeler, pare 4–5 orange peels and add them to the saucepan. Bring to a light simmer (but do not boil), and gently stir to dissolve sugar. Once the sugar is dissolved, remove saucepan from the heat and allow syrup to cool. Discard the orange peels, and store the syrup in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
To Make Martini
- Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with espresso beans and an orange twist.
notes
The key to a great espresso martini is always the espresso.
