- Donut Ingredients
- 1¾ cup all-purpose flour + ¼ cup if needed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- ½ cup whole milk
- Sunflower oil, for greasing
- Cinnamon Sugar Coating Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
directions
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon and baking powder. In another mixing bowl, mix the egg, melted butter and milk.
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
- Knead until a soft dough forms, adding in extra flour if necessary.
- Grease your donut pan with oil.
- Fill your donut pan up 9 or 10 at a time. Place the pan into the air fryer basket and set the temperature to 320°F for 7–10 minutes.
- Let cool slightly. Roll into melted butter, followed by the cinnamon sugar mixture.
