Pour a refreshing drink in style with a carafe. Spacious containers hold large quantities of liquids for occasions both casual and formal. At a dinner party, place a wine carafe on the center of the table so guests can help themselves. Placed among flowers or candles, the decanter can even act as a dinner table centerpiece. During warmer months, take a carafe outside and serve cool drinks. Stock a serving tray with acrylic glasses lined up near the carafe and display it on the coffee table. As a final touch, add coasters to the serving tray to prevent ring marks on any surfaces. Hosting a Saturday brunch? Brew a pot of coffee in the kitchen and transfer it to a thermal coffee carafe. This allows guests to conveniently fill their coffee mugs with a fresh brew every time. No brunch is complete without mimosas—encourage guests to make their own with a mimosa bar. Leave champagne in an ice bucket and respectively fill various glass carafes with orange juice, raspberry lemonade and blackberry juice for a twist on the classic mimosa. Another idea: add a mocktail version to the presentation for guests who might prefer it. Don’t forget to leave out a pitcher of water so visitors can stay hydrated throughout the day.
